This is the temporary website and gallery of Chook's Miniature; here you can find all the information you need to understand the range of services performed by myself, the artist Reese Truscott. This page will be updated frequently and include many new and interesting projects being undertaken on both a personal and professional level. Please keep an eye out for journal entires and gallery items for new information.
What is Chook's Miniature: Everything miniature... I am capable of undertaking everything and anything related to miniatures. Whether it be painting a single model to an entire collection, converting existing miniatures to sculpting a figure entirely from scratch or constructing a building through to designing a whole battlefield or diorama.
What I do: As an artist I am very flexible and can apply my skills to most situations within my speciality, because of this I do not have a set list of services that I provide, but can fullfill any need you have. However, some examples of what I undertake are;
*Historically accurate military miniatures. This could be a diorama of opposing WWII forces clashing in the ruined streets of a city or even a representation of the Battle of Waterloo.
*Fantasy and Sci-fi. Companies such as Games Workshop produce a large range of miniatures for the use in tabletop strategy battle games. I can paint and convert miniatures or even entire armies, creating a visual sensation.
*Sculpting. If you desire something obscure, or imagine a miniature that simply isn't available, I can create a unique original sculpture from scratch using clays and putties.
How it works: If you find enjoyment in the world of miniatures I may be able to offer you a service that is completely unique and customisable. I can work directly with you- the client, to visualise your ideas and develop a project from a concept through to a finished piece. You can have as much or as little participation in this process as you like, if you wish to, we can work through a project and learn about it together, or you can provide me with enough information to allow me to work through the project alone. It's really up to you. I like to work with clients in this way so that they are happy with the result and leave with whatever they want.
